White Peach Sangria

This summery Sangria is festive and elegant with beautiful slices of white peaches. If peaches
aren’t your thing, try this with mango, or even melon.
750 milliliters vinho verde
1 cup peach nectar
3 medium ripe white peaches, sliced
½ cup peach brandy
½ cup white rum
2 cups ice cubes
1 liter peach-flavored sparkling water or plain sparkling water
1. In a large pitcher, mix together the vinho verde, peach nectar, sliced peaches, brandy,
and rum. Refrigerate for at least 6 and up to 24 hours.
2. When ready to serve, add the ice and sparkling water. Serve immediately.
Helpful Hint: Peach nectar is widely available at most grocers, but if you can’t find it, have no
fear, just make your own! Dice three peaches and puree them in a blender until smooth. Place a
kitchen towel over a large bowl. Transfer the puree to the kitchen towel and squeeze as much
liquid into the bowl as possible. Discard the pulp. If the peaches you have are not very sweet,
mix a few tablespoons of sugar into the juice.
